Pelicans vs Bulls Matchup

The New Orleans Pelicans have been surprising fans ever since trading Anthony Davis, most fans thought that it will take several seasons to rebuild the team but they are now making their noise in the league behind their young guns and some veterans. They started the season strong  but stalled in the last few games, due to injuries.

The Pelicans may focus on getting near the rim with Zion Williamson and Jonas Valanciunas both available. Brandon Ingram may also step up in attacking the basket as the Bulls have no serious rim protectors.

We may expect the Pelicans’ dominance in the paint tomorrow as only Nikola Vucevic will be present with Andre Drummond not available.

However, it doesn’t mean that the Pelicans will completely control the game, The Bulls have some of the best offensively gifted guards in the league – DeMar DeRozan and Zach Lavine.

Zach Lavine finished their game against the Raptors with 30 points, but DeRozan’s touches have been limited due to being the focus of the Raptors’ defense. The Bulls still got the win and DeRozan’s unselfishness has been part of that.

“You got to give credit to DeMar for passing it around, taking on the double-team, and I think we did a better job of keeping him to the middle of the floor to where he could read (the defense) easier,” as per Lavine.

A tightly contested ball game is expected by oddsmakers but still slightly favored the Pelicans.
