After more than two years of being closed to the public and suffering damages from both the pandemic and Hurricane Laura, the former Isle of Capri Lake Charles will reopen as Horseshoe Lake Charles on Dec. 12, 2022.
In a statement released, President and COO of Caesars Entertainment, Anthony Carano said:
“When we closed the Isle of Capri in 2020, we were not expecting the property to be shut down for this length of time.”
“But we couldn’t be prouder of our team and all of the hard work they’ve put into this beautiful property. We look forward to welcoming our partners and the community to celebrate with us as we commemorate this milestone and introduce them to Horseshoe Lake Charles,” he added
Horseshoe Lake Charles is Launching Soon
An all-new 60,000-square-foot property will be opening soon in southwest Louisiana. The restored facilities will serve nearly 1,000 slot machines and table games as well as an official WSOP poker room where you can play alongside some of your favorite pros. There are 253 hotel rooms ready when needed.
A total transformation has been rolling over for quite some time and the management is looking forward to the launch after receiving positive remarks from potential customers. A Gordon Ramsay Steak restaurant is also expected to open on the premises during the mid-2023s.
As per the statement of the Senior VP and General Manager of Horseshoe Lake Charles, Jeff Favre:
“The support from the Lake Charles community has been tremendous, and we can’t wait to welcome our guests back to experience our all-new resort.”
“After being closed for more than two years, to reopen as a Horseshoe casino is the cherry on top of a pretty spectacular celebration.”
With the expected launch in Lake Charles, there will be 10 Horseshoe-branded casinos across the US market.
Caesars Sportsbook at Horseshoe Lake Charles
There’s also a Caesars Sportsbook for those who want to bet on their favorite sporting events. The sportsbook is located in the Horseshoe Casino, and it features various betting options, including football, basketball, baseball, hockey, and more. In addition, the sportsbook is also expected to launch a variety of special promotions and bonuses.
The new sportsbook is expected to offer bettors a convenient place to bet on their numerous sports teams, especially with the Bayou state professional teams like the New Orleans Saints of the NFL and New Orleans Pelicans of the NBA.
The upcoming Caesars facilities will join the 12 retail operators and eight online sportsbooks in the Louisiana market which already handled $1 billion in wagers in less than one year of operations.
