In another sign that Caesars Entertainment is bullish on the future of Louisiana, the company has announced it will open two new retail sportsbooks and a World Series of Poker (WSOP) poker room in the state. It is also expected that another sportsbook will open after Isle of Capri Lake Charles was rebranded to Horseshoe Lake Charles.
Regional President for Caesars Entertainment Dan Real stated:
“This was a special week for Caesars and our longstanding commitment to Louisiana. The opening of our world-class Caesars Sportsbook locations and the new World Series of Poker® Room add to the legacy that Harrah’s New Orleans and Horseshoe Bossier City have built in the Gulf Coast region”
He also added that tare iGaming company’s additional sportsbook locations and the largest poker room in the Pelican state are ready to serve the players.
Caesars Launches 2 Retail Sportsbooks
The Caesars Sportsbook at Harrah’s New Orleans venue can accommodate up to 140 patrons and features a 147ft video screen partnered with high-powered audio support. There is also a place where fans can reserve the private multi-display Fan Cave.
Horseshoe Bossier City also has its newest Caesars Sportsbook. It features 6900 square foot space and offers three betting windows with 15 self-service kiosks for placing bets on your favorite sporting event or horse race; 94 TVs that show all of the games in high definition as well as a high-end audio system. There are also special viewing sections where guests can watch live broadcasts while sipping cocktails from the bar or the VIP section.
Caesars New WSOP Poker Room
Moreover, Caesars also opened the 5,000-square-foot WSOP poker room at Harrah’s New Orleans. The World Series of Poker is one place where professional players can compete at their full potential. The 20 tables in this expansive space offer a variety for all levels complemented by side beverages.
The 2022 POKER GRAS TOURNAMENT SERIES, which will commence on September 22, will take place in the newly launched poker room.
Caesars’ Louisiana Expansion
The $325 million transformation of Harrah’s New Orleans will soon be complete, giving Caesars Entertainment Group control over all aspects in one location. The poker room and sportsbook are just two parts that make up this massive undertaking which is expected to bring major changes many years down the road when it’s fully operationalized at last.
The move comes as Caesars continues to invest in its properties in Louisiana. The company has already partnered with the New Orleans Pelicans of NBA, New Orleans Saints of NFL, and LSU Athletics. It also inked the 20-year naming rights deal for the Caesars Superdome which is previously known as Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
